RANGE RULES

1. All Federal, State and Local Firearms laws must be obeyed.
2. In an effort to maintain a safe environment, Range Staff must be obeyed.
3. Range Staff have the right to inspect all firearms, ammunition and equipment.
4. Everyone must follow the Four Basic Rules of Firearm Safety at all times:
1. Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.
2. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target and you are ready to shoot.
3. Treat all guns as if they are loaded.
4. Be sure of your target and what is behind it.
5. No gun handling outside the lane. All firearms must be cased/ uncased only at the firing line in your lane.
6. Load and unload firearms only at the firing line in your lane.
7. All loaded firearms must be pointed at the backstop at all times.
8. Shooters must put on eye and ear protection prior to entering the range and keep it on until exiting the range.
9. If any problem should occur leave the firearm pointed toward the backstop on the bench and contact the Range Safety Officer.

11. Shoot only at the target in your lane
12. No one is allowed forward of the firing line at any time.
13. Be sure you use the correct ammunition for your firearm. Tracers, explosives or armor piercing ammunition is strictly prohibited. Shotguns are allowed with single projectile only.
14. No one under the influence of alcohol or otherwise impaired will be permitted on the range.
15. Shooters under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a shooter of legal age, no person under the age of 10 admitted onto the range.
16. Be courteous and aware of other shooters around you on the range.
17. Notify range staff of any unsafe practices on the range.
18. Black powder or muzzleloaders are prohibited.
19. If there is any target malfunction, call Range Safety Officer.
20. Guests renting firearms for range use agree to only use Georgia Gun Club ammunition.
