Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA)
Georgia Gun Club Qualifications
The LEOSA was passed in 2004 and amended in 2010 and 2013. It allows current and retired qualified Law Enforcement Officers to carry concealed weapons anywhere in US subject to some restrictions.
At the Georgia Gun Club we support our men and women in Law Enforcement and we recognize that retired Law Enforcement Officers and Agents in particular, have a problem with access to qualification programs under LEOSA.
We sponsor LEOSA qualifications for retired law enforcement in partnership with the Fraternal Order of Police. A Georgia POST Certified Firearms Instructor conducts the qualification and signs off on the forms. The program includes a one hour review of the Law,Use of Force Policy and then qualification on the POST approved course. There is a $100.00 fee to cover costs of targets and facilities. Participants supply ammunition and safety equipment. To register either come by the club or call us at 678-620-3008.
